Hello,
I am interested to buy your program Themler. I think I can make beautiful templates with it for Joomla. I had a license for Artisteer before, but I think Themler can do more and better.
Before I will buy, I have a few important questions:

  1. In Artisteer I made beautiful templates for the websites I make for clients. With the template imported in Joomla, my clients could use the backend from Joomla to edit pages and content. Opening articles, edit and save. What I don't understand is how Themler works. I cannot test this before I buy.
When a template is made with Themler, You can import the template into Joomla site. But when I activate the template and I want to open a menu item (article) to edit, I only see code. Is that normal?
How can I edit text and pages in the website then? Is that only possible in the template editor from Themler? I hope. ot, cause then my client has also to learn to work with the Themler system. I thought themler is only to make the template that u can use in Joomla.
Or am I doing something wrong?
In short terms: do you only edit the website inside Joomla (not the look, but content) wit the template editor from Themler? So does this mean you can not use anything anymore from the backend from Joomla? This because with Artisteer you still can use the backend from Joomla to edit content after importing the template.

    1. When I buy Themler, I get one year free updates. After one year, when I don't wanna buy a new license, can I still use Themler then? Artisteer I still can use now, also when I don't buy new license for updates.

Thanks for answering, after this I can decide if it is worth it to buy Themler or not.

Kind regards,
Michel Habraken

Themler creates a template that includes the styles for your site, the content is an option that you can create inside the application or using the Joomla editor. So you create articles inside Joomla, then you create a menu inside Joomla admin and when you open the template from your site inside Themler, you will see the real content and will be able to style it using the Themler styling options.

Hi Hella,

Sorry for asking so much, but I must be sure that it will work for me and my clients before I buy Themler.

  1. When I make a new menu-item in the CMS Joomla and I also create a new article, I still see only code when I want to edit this new article. Also when it is made in Joomla. Does this mean, that you always have to use the Themler editor to edit a page? Thats tricky, cause a client can destroy the whole website with one click when he/she is doing something wrong in the editor from Themler.

  2. Besides that I did what you say, I made a new menu-item and a new article. When I click on this new article in the site, there is a blog post and not a normal page. !

    Blogpost.JPG

  3. I got also the message (see image):

    Editor.JPG

Do I need to buy special editor plugins for Themler, cause I already have editor plugins installed in Joomla?

  4. What about when you have to work with a plugin or a component? Is that possible to use when I work with Themler?

Thanks for answering again.
Michel

When you make in themler your template, the homepage including the subpages are made in Themler? So this is code inside the Joomla CMS.
Do you mean that.... you still can make a article in Joomla and you can link this to a menu-item inside Joomla or Thumbler?

Hi Gianpaolo Minardi,

Artisteer and Themler are quite different, I suggest you to try the trial version to evaluate the application possibilities. Unfortunately we do not have the manual in Italian. All the documentation we have can be found here:
http://answers.themler.com/Doc/Index

As for the purchase, please enter your license key here: http://themler.com/Purchase

You will see the discount you get in the table below.

Sincerely,
Hella

My Artisteer license is: removed from the public topic
Themler is a template designer as Artisteer? Which are the differences between those 2 software, please?
Is it possible download a manual or see video tutorial in italian language, please?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.

Hi,

Is it possible, to make only the HOMEPAGE in themler and the rest of the pages in de CMS from Joomla?

You can create a homepage using the Home template inside Themler. Add all the desired controls and do not edit other pages. You can make it as the static page so the content editor inside Joomla won't show you the content. For that add all the controls within the blue template area and not inside the green content area. The blue area will make those controls the part of the theme and not accessible from the site back end in any way.

Can you link in Themler menu items to pages who are made in CMS from Joomla?

No, the menu should be created inside the Joomla admin panel as any other menu.

Sincerely,
Hella

"So if you need the client to work with the visual content editor in the CMS back end, then you should not edit the content inside Themler "

I understand, but when I made a template in Themler, everything is made in Themler, so it is not possible to edit it inside de CMS from Joomla.

Hi,

Regarding the content editor. When you create the content inside Themler or edit the content created inside the CMS before, the content is transformed into the shortcodes. So if you need the client to work with the visual content editor in the CMS back end, then you should not edit the content inside Themler.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi.

Here is a answer from other topic:

Hi,

Yes, the content created or edited inside Themler editor will be
present as the shortcodes and to edit them you will need to edit
shortcodes or use Themler editor for visual editing. To edit the
content in visual editor within the site back end, you should not
create that content inside Themler, as once edited inside Themler,
content is converted into the shortcodes.

So you can use Joomla to create Articles and Themler to style it.

When I buy Themler, I get one year free updates. After one year, when
I don't wanna buy a new license, can I still use Themler then?
Artisteer I still can use now, also when I don't buy new license for
updates.

Yes, you can still use Themler. But you can't update your current themes to newest version if license expired,
