Hi,
In your manual you say that you can make a template 'PAGE' by turning settings on 'HIDE' in Joomla.

http://answers.themler.com/articles/36343/how-to-work-with-templates-in-joomla-themes

You say we have to do this in the MENU settings, but then it still is not working, only when you ALSO change it with the ARTICLE OPTIONS, then it works. Is that normal? For every normal page that I want, I have to change all the settings in the Menu item including the Article options.

Hi,

Looks strange as the menu item options should override the article options. Make sure that you set Hide value and not the Use global values.
Also with the Joomla default theme do you see what is set in the article options instead of what is set in the menu item options?

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi Hella,

I checked it for you, but it is the same. I checked with default theme Joomla as also with Themler theme Joomla.
I work with version Joomla 3.7.2.

In the printscreens, everything is Global, but it is to show you, that you have same choices. When I select the choices from the manual in the MENU OPTIONS, the template will stay as Post template. As soon as i change the ARTICLE OPTIONS with the same selections as from the MENU, than the page in Themler will be seen as PAGE TEMPLATE.

Sincerely,
Michel

Hi,

Do not set Use Global option in the Menu options, set them to Hide. If that does not help, provide an access to the site back end and point to the problem menu item.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi Hella,

That's what I said, I showed you only the possible options, that you could see, that they are the same.
Unfortunately I cannot give you access to the backend, cause I am working on local host before publishing the website.

Gr. Michel

Hi,

Then use the Hide values in the options, maybe that will work fine later. The problem might be somewhere in the Joomla settings as it works the same with the default Joomla theme. Maybe you could wait till you get online and then provide an access to the live site if the issue persists.

Sincerely,
Hella
