I dont know if it is by design ?

Styling one row often change things in other, all, rows on same page/template.

Also styling widget areas inside one row change styling of widget area in another row, if they are on same page/template.

For instance adding Texture Overlay extension to one row adds it to all rows on template. it is just one of many things that rows share, buttons, etc...

I made this problem with Texture Overlay on cloud, default theme.

  • Deleted Slider, to make place for test.
  • Inserted 3 rows controls.
  • Added texture Overlay extension to first row.
  • First and second rows get overlay, plus whole header.

Now I dont care about Texture Overlay, using it never for now. Problem is much of styling get shared between rows if they are on same template (button, bullet list, widget content options, etc...etc..

Tell us just is it by design in Themler ?

Hello Stagger Lee,
thank you for details. The settings and style of controls should not be shared in different rows.
However I failed to reproduce this problem.
If possible please provide link to cloud theme that demonstrates this issue.

regards,
Aileen

Hello Stagger Lee,
I managed to repeat the issue when background of Overlay effect assigned to Row is applied to entire page. e.g.
http://attachments.answers.billiondigital.com/560/4560/OverlayBG.png

Is it what you mean?

However the controls like Buttons, Images, HoverBoxes, etc. in the different rows do preserver their unique styles in different rows. It'd be helpful if you provide steps how I could repeat it.

Regards,
Aileen

Yes Aileen thanks.

I just repeated again styling of button in one row (Widget area inside, buttons styled via More Styles-Button)
Background color of button leaks to buttons in the row above it. Position CSS rule, width, etc....

Maybe important to say. Button in one row is added via custom code in own functions.php plugin. It is in real example one button inside recent comments widget.

Hi Stagger Lee,

We need to see the issue somehow.
Could you please attach the zipped theme and provide a few screenshots?

Thank you,
Olivia

Seems as I solved it by chance.

One row with full background width (holding Widget area control) ended in Sidebar-Content area holding Posts when using drag and drop. I did not check in Outline tab. And all styling from this row spilled to whole Sidebar-Content and all similar controls there. (Archive Posts listing)

Now I moved it outside of Sidebar-Content, and styling is not shared anymore. Everything is OK.

Will keep an eye on it to see if everything is OK in the future.
